There have been quite a few posts on here for the past few days regarding rape, sexual assault, extreme feminism, etc. Not until today that I read one regarding Boston (or the Allston punk house show circuit specifically) that I felt a need to speak up (not my place, being a white male). Let me preface this with I do not agree with everything radical feminism entails, BUT you really start to learn how awful human beings (usually male) are when someone writes a post regarding something like sexual assault or a personal story that they are releasing to world is then berated and abused with comments by their so-called “peers”. Are you seeking these people out? Does it make you feel better knowing that you just attacked someone sharing something so personal and horrifying that you will never know or understand how it could ever feel? I’m not by any means even remotely  saying I understand, I do not. But for fuck’s sake, if you don’t agree with someone or something or someone’s post, unfollow. It’s that simple. To the people saying these things should be kept quiet in order to not “damage” the scene. This isn’t something that should be hushed or muttered cautiously, this is something that should be screamed. Keep writing these, and keep protesting, keep bringing things to light that have far too long been kept in the dark, and most importantly don’t ever let any pig fucking asshole put you down because you shared something personal. They’re scum. I’m sorry if this offends anyone that has posted/has been hurt/ is a feminist etc. That was not my intention. I’m just voicing what I see and trying to spread the word. Up the Women, Up the PoC, Up the Queers, Up the Punks. Now bring on the hate misogynist amerikkka. If you think I’m wrong, want to converse, or anything! I’d love to hear your views <3
